Welcome to the 8A and 8B Blog Spot! Ms. L. and Ms. M. want you, our students, to not only converse with one another in your Book Clubs, but be able to share your ideas with other students. We felt that this innovative way would increase your understanding of the book. Click the link for the book you are reading now to comment about something you just read; ask a question, share an idea, relate to another book you have read, or connect to your own life experiences.
You've probably just finished your first reading assignment and are wondering what to say. Some of you may need no help at all, while others are contemplating what to say. One thing I have found that is usually one of the easiest things to talk about and relate to are the characters. Think about the characters you have met in your first few pages of reading. Do the characters seem real and believable? Can you relate to their predicaments? To what extent do they remind you of yourself, someone you know, or another character in a book or movie? Under your book post about the character(s) you have just met, or respond to someone's thoughts!
